CITY HALL—the Columbus Junction City Hall is located at 232 2nd street. The hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 728-7971. Or you can reach them by email at cjcityclerk@iowatelecom.net City Hall handles sewer and water hook-ups, garbage and recycling tags, and building permits.
CITY GOVERNMENT is mayoral/council with a number of committees, boards and commissions. The Board of Supervisors governs Louisa County.

LAW ENFORCEMENT—Columbus Junction has four full-time police officers and three volunteer reserve officers. Columbus City and Fredonia are part of the Louisa County Unified Law Enforcement (ULE) system dispatched through the sheriff’s office in Wapello.
